Venchiarezza Pinot Grigio 2023

Discover Venchiarezza Friulano Vigna del Tempo 2023 Venchiarezza comes from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in Italy, more specifically from Cividale in the Colli Orientali del Friuli wine region. The region is located in the far northeast of Italy in the hills that form the border with Slovenia. The quirky winemaker Luca Caporale works completely organically and makes white and red wines from both local and international grapes. The Pinot Grigio from Venchiarezza is characterized by a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The bouquet offers complex aromas of ripe peach, banana, and a hint of yeast. On the palate, the wine is soft, structured, and silky, with perfect balance and a long, aromatic finish. The grapes for this Pinot Grigio are grown completely organically. After a short skin maceration, they are gently pressed and undergo spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 16-18°C. The wine then matures on its fine lees until the spring after the harvest, contributing to the complexity and texture. Venchiarezza also produces other wines, such as Ribella, Classici, Vigna del Tempo, and Metodo Classico, as well as organic olive oils.
